Outlook Calendar an Hour Off After Nov 1? How to Fix It

Is your Outlook calendar an hour off since November 1, 2026? In BC, Alberta and Manitoba, your clock is probably fine. Your meetings are stored in the old time zone, and they will not fix themselves.

Before: a meeting booked for 10:00 shows 11:00 because it is stored in Pacific Time (US & Canada). After the fix it shows 10:00, stored in Pacific Time (British Columbia).
The meeting keeps the time you booked. Only the stored time zone changes.

First 10 fixes free, then a one-time $5.99 CAD for every event in your account. Undo any time for 30 days.

Fix them all in about two minutes

Four steps: sign in with Microsoft, scan (read-only), review before and after times, fix with undo for 30 days.
Usually under two minutes. A very busy calendar can take a little longer to scan.
Watch the whole thing in 79 seconds.

Do not drag the meeting back an hour

A meeting dragged back an hour shows 10:00 now but 9:00 after March 14, 2027. A meeting whose time zone was changed stays at 10:00.
Dragging only looks fixed. It breaks again when the US springs forward on March 14, 2027.

One fix covers Outlook and Teams

One calendar event fixed once in your mailbox, with check marks next to Outlook on Windows, Teams, Outlook on the web, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook on iPhone and Android.

Prefer to do it by hand?

  1. Set the new time zone on your computer and in Outlook.
  2. Open each meeting you organized and change its time zone.
  3. Send the update to attendees.
  4. Ask organizers to fix meetings you were only invited to.

Be careful with recurring meetings: Microsoft says changing a series by hand resets any occurrence you moved or edited.

Questions

Will Outlook fix it automatically?

No. Existing meetings keep the old zone until the organizer changes them.

What about meetings with people in the US?

After the fix, a 10:00 meeting stays at 10:00 for you and lands an hour earlier for them in winter. To keep it the same for them, untick it in the preview and agree on a new time.
